I first drank this smoothie back in the ’80’s at my fav hippy cafe in Paddington. Thought they must be crazy mixing parsley & banana, but I was soon hooked on the sweet yummy flavour in this smoothie. Well worth their experiment & my subsequent conversion to this way of life!
30 years later it remains one of my favourite drinks, rich in nutrient flavour & crispness!!
- 1.5 cups apple juice
- 1 cup parsley
- 1 cup baby spinach
- 1/2 ripe banana
- 1 apple—unpeeled & chopped
- 1/2 avocado, chopped
1] Combine the apple juice, spinach, parsley, apple & banana in a blender and puree until smooth
2] Add avocado & water to reach the desired consistency.
