This beautiful private venue – built in 2006 – is available for hire for weekly classes, workshops, weekend retreats & sessional work. It has floor to ceiling glass windows & is surrounded by tropical gardens. There is on site parking for 4 vehicles & plenty of road parking.
‘the sanctuary’ is approx 54 sq meters (8 x 6m) with a 14 sq meter deck (2x7m) some storage space, bathroom, kitchenette & tea making facilities.
Shoe Free and Drug Free:
‘the sanctuary’ has stunning polished mixed hard wood floors & is strictly a shoe-free space. ‘the sanctuary’ is also a tobacco & drug free property.
Cooling and Heating:
Air conditioning is included in hire fees. However ‘the sanctuary’ is a ‘Green Zone’ so we ask hirers to be conservative with power use and use only if necessary.
There are tea and coffee making facilities including cups, glasses and electric kettle. The Hirer is responsible for bringing your own refreshments. A small bar fridge is available on request (for weekend bookings). A silky oak table and a desk is available for use.
Venue Hire Fees
Mon-Fri weekly ongoing bookings*:
During the week (Mon – Fri 6am-5pm) is $30 per hour with a 4 hour minimum.
Evenings (Mon-Fri 5-9pm) is $35 per hour, with a 2 hour minimum
A $150 non-refundable booking deposit is required before your event starts. This ensures that your booking is confirmed for you. This deposit comes off the price of the hire cost and is not refundable if your event is cancelled within 1 month of its booking.
An additional $100 fully refundable bond is required upon booking/key pick up. This is a bond for cleaning damages or key loss. It will be returned to you at the end of your lease of ‘the sanctuary’. If damages or cleaning exceed this amount the hirer will be invoiced for the full amount. Lost keys are charged at $40 each.
You will be required to pay for your booking even in the event you do not use the space/you cancel your class – for the remainder of the booking duration (ie: for the term)
Weekend (Fri 5pm-Sun 9pm) & one-off bookings*:
Fri 5-9pm; Sat and Sun 8am-9pm and all one-off bookings are $35 per hour, with a 3 hour minimum.
Or $350 for a whole day 8am to 9pm Sat/Sun *Saving of $105
Or $550 for entire weekend 8am to 9pm Sat & Sun *Saving of $150
